These days, to be respected at all in a professional sense, an AA degree seems to be about the bare minimum. A four year would get you by better.

i only respect a person who has confidence and that person needs to respect themselvs. a person that wouldn’t even question their education.

at least a college degree to GET initial respect. but sustaining that respect is a different story. that’s were work ethics and attitude comes in.

Respect is different from deference. There are experts on various subjects to whom I defer on their subject because I know it’s likely that they know what they’re talking about, and I might even respect their opinions about the facts if they seem suitably circumspect, but if they’re a conceited jerk whose expertise is an attempt at replacing the need to have a personality and decency, I’m still not going to respect *them*.

You don’t have to be educated to get respect. In fact being educated is the most disrespected ability these days. No. To get respect you must have a pulpit and the speaking abilities necessary to manipulate the uneducated masses.
