So day two with the therapist went wonderfully!

As a lot of you may know. I am having lots of trouble breaking my bad thinking prcess and havent known how. Well My therapist gave me a skill that he wants me to start practicing. It was pretty cool and i thought i might give it to you guys in case it might you guys too!

Its called the CCC’s:

Catch It
Challenege It
Change It

Cathcing it is taking a step back after what just happened. I will use an example that all of you know well from me.

“Im stupid!” I need to catch it! Stop and say that i just called myself stupid.

Challenege it means to, obviously, see what makes you really think that. “why am i stupid? Stupid means ‘unable to learn, and i learn new things each day so why am i stupid?”

Change it - “Im smart!”

And thats the simple process. It made complete sense when he was telling me all this last night. It was fun! I typed up those 3 and put it up on my desk so i can always see it and be able to realize what im doing and how i can change it!

that’s great, i don’t have a clue why you’re going to the therapist, im guessing is something about depression, but either way, i’m glad is working out for you.

Thanks for the ccc’s tip, its great and you can basically apply it to every day things.

Umm… im not sure. Just take it as you see it. How would you challenge anything that comes up? I guess you just have to look at it the opposite way and thats challenging it…

That’s just normal dear :) that’s what for friends are , no?
Btw…having all good days could turn out boring;) so in order to enjoy each great day we have to have some bad ones too.. like 80% good ones and 20% bad ones..lol
