Medical Marihuana, needed or scam? - Help.com

A bit if a scam I guess. I have never found it to work for pain. Great for eating a bag or two of chips. To each their own though :)

The research is pretty clear that it does work, largely helping with nausea, but the latest research I saw said that smoking marijuana doesn’t do any more than taking the prescription pill derived from marijuana does. I’m no expert, and it’s not something I’ve kept up with, but that’s what I’ve read.

I’m coming at this as a partaker and a health service provider, so I’m gonna sound biased. “Medical Marijuana” is just one more way that a peaceful population is trying to get around the war on drugs our country has declared for monetary purposes.

The fact that this plant brings comfort by means of distraction from a variety of maladies ranging from Multiple Sclerosis to Cancer Treatment to Glaucoma to Depression is largely unproven because of laws restricting it’s use. The pills are a method for study to happen, but a poor substitute in effectiveness.

I find it highly entertaining that the mothers of the religious right have caused bans to be put on something our lord used on a daily basis in a country based on freedom.

Maybe one day soon legal pot taxation will become more profitable to the government than the war on drugs, maybe the unmotivated masses will make a stand on behalf of the ill and themselves, and maybe just maybe the type of indisputable scientific data will be presented in the right light to prove mary jane is actually good for us.

In the mean time I’m gonna go roll a joint to share with my best friend, and hope that for tonight it helps in it’s own natural green way.
