Trying to find a way to go to school…
This is ridiculous… my wife and I are barely getting by, having to live at my mother in laws house because a week after we got married, she got laid off and that following monday I got laid off. For 3 years now I have been trying to get financing for school, the problem is, both of our credits are horrible, she is now going back to school to get a higher paying job to start paying off some bills that she had when she was younger, but got into school because she was approved for financial aide. I can’t go back to school because of what I want to do… for 3 years I have wanted to go back to school to become a helicopter pilot, you either have to go into the military which I cant because of a car accident I got into when I was 17, but yet I am functional… and passed the aviation tests and physical tests or get financing which I cant because of my credit. It’s $40000.00 to go to get your helipoter license and not one place out there that trains you offers financial aide… or they are across the country from us, I can’t pick up and leave to move across the country when I dont even have a job. And then most scholarships are for young kids, and ones who have their high school diploma, which I do not… does anyone have any suggestions for help to get money for schooling? This is crazy!!!!
