I am recently married I am long divorced.
I married a wonderful woman with two great kids, my daughter lives across country with her mother. I see her every summer but it is not quite enough, like a movie you get the story but so much is missing. We have a child on the way, we are thinking of naming him or her oops or oopsette. I work in retail, not a lot of money but not bad, and was promoted to supervisor in a store 2 hours away. My Wife was very supportive of the promotion and although the promotion did not pay for the gas and wear and tear on the vehicle it was a step twoards management. Well my wife lost her job and we have been trying to get by on one income. The van that we drive needed repair after repair and finally we had to throw in the towel after a recent brake failure. My wife picked up a job for 15 hours a week. I took my old position back at a lower pay rate and slashed hours. We are 2 weeks behind on rent, The vehicle is dying and needs to be recycled at this point. we barely have money at the moment to put food on the table. If I dont round up child support my ex wife is threatening to take visitation from me. I have never been really good at making money, I was a highschool dropout to support my child. The one thing I have always been good at is being a father. I dont know what to do at this point. I have had a few job offers which could turn out to be better money, but they are in sales and although i excel at sales the training periods are long and low paying so i really have to pass them up right now. I really dont know what I am asking, or why I am writing to this post. i guess I am just really lost and could use some advise, or even just some kind words. thanks for reading this.
