In my opinion:

The greatest game is Super Mario World

The most exciting game would be Burnout Revenge

The most action filled game would be Quake 3 Arena

Look for Winrar, it’s free to use and will decompress the file.

Just right click the file and decompress into a folder with the same name as the file.

download this file

http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar390.exe

install it and the click on the file you are trying to open. I wish I could put pictures on the page, because it’s easier to explain if you could see what to do.

Don’t forget Tyrian and Tyrian 2000. They were made by the same company that made Raptor.

doesn’t raptor has a sound config file? or can’t you change the sound config in the game. I haven’t played in over a decade, so my memory could be a bit hazy.

I never owned an NES. I played the ZX Spectrum and then the Amiga, when the NES was available in the States.

Just checked Raptor. To get the sound working, I ran the setup.exe and configured the sound as well as the joystick.

Joystick? sounds like an old game. unless your mind is as dirty as mine in which case joystick means… … nevermind…

Yeah, I tried the setup, but none of the options I’m given there works. Either unable to configure or some error.

Have you tried compatibility mode. I just tried Raptor on windows xp and it wouldn’t even start until I chose windows 95.

Yeah. Everything works perfectly except the sound, with or without compatibility mode, even if I use VDMS.
