How Do You Start A Conversastion With A Stranger?

Do you just go up the them and say, “Hi I’m (Blank), what’s your name?
Or is their more to it to that?
And if you do say hi, and they accept you, what do you talk about with them?

Today, everwhere I go it seems like their is someone new i could talk to, but I don’t know what to say to them. I get nervous. = )

Aha I know what you mean.

Well, depending what situation you are in, you could say stuff like, oh what’s that book you’re carrying there? Or what’s that movie you’re taking a look at? Or, oh hey, you like guavas too, so do I! I didn’t know so many people liked them.

Hahah okay that is SO random but it’s easier when you notice something that you have in common with them (without talking to them yet) and then you can bring it up and strike off a conversation and THEN ask their name and etc.

Truthfully never done it before, but I know like once I was in a bookstore and this guy sat next to me and asked what book I was reading and then he was like, ohhh I read that, I could recommend you this book and this book…and yeah hahaha that was basically it.
