I am going to be christened Greek Orthodox but I dont know who to choose as my Godparent.

My partners sister in law kind of invited her self which i originally thought was a joke but have now realised it wasn’t but she christened my partners eldest daughter and was also his ex’s best friend and personally i think it would be strange but im not sure if im over reacting, i dont know what to do…please help!!!

Don’t let her be your godparent unless you really like her. I know almost nothing about godparents, but I know I would want my godparent to be someone I like a lot and trust.

A godparent is someone who sponsors someone who is being baptized. They look after the person’s religious upbringing.

They do believe in the bible.

Sorry - i was under the impression you were an adult and so would look after your own spirituality.

Did they have god parents in bible times?
