Question: Why can I find nothing in tag searches anymore.

I even searched for simple, one word searches like Subaru and Jedi and it didn’t find anything

Actually, our search feature seems to be working for me. I’m using this page of course:
http://help.com/search

Using Jedi and Subaru I found links to posts (although not many).

Still having trouble? Let me know.

No I mean the entries, like the wikipedia copies.

And I used that pic because I couldn’t find one of myself and people have said he is the “pick a celebrity you most resemble”. I don’t see it, but if it’s a compliment, cool.

I’m a little confused. Are you trying to update your Avatar picture? I just tested the picture search tool for new avatar pictures and that works.

When you say “Wikipedia copies”, what do you mean exactly? Our pictures actually come from Wepshots.com and not Wikipedia. Can you send me a link to the page you are working from?

No, you used to be able to search for something like Jedi and would tell you the history of the Jedi. It was like Help.com’s versio of Wikipedia, like an encyclopedia entry.

I’m about his size, build, have about the same amount of tattoos, the labret piercing, and short dyed jet black spiky hair. But I still don’t see it.

The feature I’m looking for is the “Primer”

Ah, now I get what you are doing. That should be in the Automatic Bookmarks of any post (right hand column). That’s where the Primers exist. They are generated by the tags you assign to your post. If Jedi or Subaru is not one of your tags, you won’t see anything, but I just checked and the Primers are appearing.

I’m trying to recreate your problem. Can you send me the URL link of a page where you don’t see the Primers in the Bookmarks Section? Sometimes the right hand column gets affected by a bug and it actually justifies to the left hand side below everything else. Maybe that’s why you didn’t see anything.

From the main page just search for something the tag search, like Subaru. When it loads on the right is every post with subaru but the bottom left should have a link to the primer, instead I get:

Currently we’re lacking a primer for “Subaru”. If you’d like one to be written, you may request it here.

When I searched a week ago it had an entire Primer about Subaru, their history, models of cars, etc.

OK. Thanks for that info. I am going to refer this to our webmaster Jeff for a response.

Ah, yeah, we had the restructure our mini-wikipedia index a few weeks ago.

The plain way to “search” for what you want is to just slap it onto the url http://help.com/wiki/HERE

So,

http://help.com/wiki/Jedi

or

http://help.com/wiki/Subaru

will do the trick. It’s not perfect, but I’ll make a note to address the side bar issue.
