I think ive made a,big mistake i split up with my bf

a few,weeks ago cuz well he started drinking all the time nd he started 2 b realy mean always shouting at me nd he hit me a few times i dont blame him 4 his drinking nd that cuz we been though alot laterly so last week i got bck with him stupid i know but hes worse now then he ever was b 4 i love him nd Dont wanna lose him but have i made a realybad mistake getting bck with him
