About Lyme’s disease!

My middle child who is 3 has Lyme’s desease and so does his father. Our cats that we had in the house were loaded with tic’s and the both got bit and the both got the Lyme’s disease. The problem that I’m facing now is that his father whom im no longer with is very sick. He now is having problems with his liver, kidneys, and every antibiotic that he is on is not working. The “bulls eye” mark that you get for the sighn of Lyme’s disease is all over the fathers body and they don’t go away and appear all the time. they now are sending him to the disease control center in milwaukee he constantly has pain in his joints and sometimes can’t get out of bed. He no longer can eat, or sleep. When i do have to see my ex he looks terrible. shaking, bloodshot eyes, the sweats, pain all the time the bulls eye marks all over. the problem now is that he is losing it mentally. He used to be a hard worker, he is very smart but now he is checking himself into a mental health clinic. He has not had a job since the problems started. he all of a sudden started gettting numbness in his arms. I guess my question is that…..will these things hapen to my son? He had the bulls eye mark and experiences pain in his feet and legs. It’s hard to tell if they are growing pains or if they are from the Lyme’s disease. You have it all of your life and I’m not sure if what his dad is going through might be something to expect with him.

I had Lyme Disease, but it was easily cleared up since it was caught very early, right after the bull’s-eye mark appeared. In most cases, the related health problems will go away once the patient starts treatment. In some cases, however, the problems do not go away.

WebMD has a good article about Lyme Disease:

I’m sorry to hear that your ex’s problems have not cleared up, and I hope your son’s do.
