a thought that might help
we tend to circle around our problems
trying to solve them.
however, we mostly forget why we wanted to solve them in the first place.
so one should strive to achieve the state of affairs he wishes to be in,
rather than seeking the means to remove the problems that prevent him from achieving it.
for example:
iv’e been trying to get inspiration for some flier i designed,
however, i couldn’t concentrate
then i looked for what causes the disturbance,
i tried to clean my work area, finish the chores that i had on my mind,
calming myself down, meditating, etc, etc…
so i spent three days trying to get myself to focus
then it dawned me that i am wasting my time
and instead of thinking about the flier i was looking for ways to get concentrated enough to think about it.
then i sat down and thought about it for half an hour, and finished the work i didn’t do in three days.
so, this goes for many problems in our lives.
we should always ask ourselves what it is we are trying to achieve
what is our ultimate goal
then we should just live it up instead of looking for ways to get it.
