Ok, so I stopped eatin meat for about 10 months, becase i didnt think the treatment of animals was ethical.

Slowly though, i started to eat meat again. I don’t know how to stop again because i’m just not as motivated before. Now eating it makes me feel so guilty. I just hate eating food altogether now!. All my frends and family eat it, and it’s so difficult for me to resist! How can i convince myself to stop eating meat and believe in animals rights again??? pleaase help!!!!!!! i’m so confused.

Failing that just source ethical meat. An example not far from where I live is: http://www.happymeats.co.uk

No need to feel guilty about eating at all! All living things eat. You could try to find a happy medium instead. I eat meat, but I do not apporve of the unethical treatment of animals. So when I purchase the meat products I eat, i purchase those that support what I consider to be ethical and humane, like free range, or other options. Often local meats are the best. There is a pig farm in my area where the farmer lets his pigs to do whatever they want and live as pigs, with full lives and then he uses everything he can instead of wasting it. I was able to meet him and he really values the lives and the sacrifice of the situation. I guess it depends on your definition of ethical. I consider the modern “mechinization” of food to be unethical, but I do not blame early and premodern humans for hunting to survive. I support and meat meat that comes from a more reverant, old school view.

agree with courtybubble. there are plenty of ways to still support animal rights. not eating meat, in my opinion, is a very passive way to do it. i mean, the cow is dead already at the supermarket when you buy them. i know it sounds harsh and i might have to apologize for it. but i’d rather do something more active than not buying. but of course, i still admire their dedication. :)

aye, the fact of the matter is people like meat, and youre never going to turn the entire world vegetarian, and so animals are still going to be killed for food even if you never eat meat again. youve done nothing and saved no life, just made yourself feel a little better and probably more pale and pasty.
the best thing you could do is advocate for animal rights, volunteer for the SPCA,donate to WSPA, ensure the meat you do buy is ethically and humanly killed etc etc.
just dont join freakin PETA
