dumped help: I have just been dumped by my beautiful woman after 16 years 11 months together. - Help.com

I have just been dumped by my beautiful woman after 16 years 11 months together.

I am head in heels in love with her and have been since the day I met her. She told me that she didnt love me anymore and hadnt for 4 years. We have two wonderful children together and the youngest is 11. We moved out friday night. We each had our own truck and some friends to help us. She had two girls and a guy come up. I knew the girls but not the guy. When they got there they were drunk. The guy was all over the younger girl who I know has a boyfriend. Anyway after the trucks were packed I was sitting in the living room. I saw my ex walking up the stairs and the guy coming down. He made this little move with his hands and she pushed him up the staris and into my daughters room and shut the door. I ran up there to see what was going on. She said she was just fooling around and knew the guy for years and knew his wife. I had never heard of the guy. Later that night my ex would not spend outr last night together with me. Her and the other 3 spent the night in my daughters room. They were all laughing and loud. I went up around 2 am to go to the bathroom and my ex comes out of the room in a thong and t-shirt. I was pissed of course. I waited a few minutes and walked in the room. She said I put pants on I hope your happy. The next night I was telling her sister in law what happened and she said my ex’s sister told her about the guy. I confronted my ex about it and she says it was nothing. She also said he is a nice guy and a relationship could develop down the road. Then she said he just moved out on his wife 4 weeks ago. I am devestated and she will not tell me the truth. I still love her with all my heart and want her back. Please help me.

Wow dude…she’s being really ungreatful. I know this will be difficult, but I think you should just forget about her in a romantic sense for a while…maybe this is her version of a mid-life crisis? For your own health (I know this because the same sort of thing happened between my parents) I think you should try and be friends with your ex; however, just give her some space. Maybe she’ll realize how much she really loves you…after all “Distance makes one fonder”…

To hurt u in this way without a care in the world shows what a heartless ***** your wife has become. After so many memories together the least she could do is respect your feelings. Is she on drugs??? Her behaviour is so crule. Is she on meds? Some anti depressants cloud judgment.

One things for sure and that is she is heading for heartache.
I Hope u can see the light and move on and not make her into something she isnt.

she’s been ungrateful about what? if it wasn’t working it wasn’t working. as much as you love her you should have realized she didn’t feel the same, specially if she loved you too and suddenly stopped. there must have been signs, you know? i think it’s in bad character of her to do that on your last night in the same house and in front of you, but hey if she doesn’t feel anything for you anymore and she was upfront about it(could have been sooner, but well…) i don’t see the problem. don’t worry, you’ll get over it. if not for you then for your kids.
