For People Who Have Gone To University And Collage, Did You Find That Certain Things About Yourself Changed?

How quickly did they change?
What sort of change was it?

I’m asking because I’m going of to University soon, and i read that people have been known to change when they do. I’m hoping I’ll ghange for the better, and sort of come out of my shell, and make some friends, because I’m a bit shy around new people.

Any experiences you could share, or wisdom you can impart would be much loved. = )

I felt that I had changed after completing my one year school program just because my whole life I had been frustrated that I had no education or credentials. Now I don’t have that anxiety and pain anymore.

i think within a year in university i started to change. :) well hmmmm. in college i discovered who i REALLY am. you know what it’s like in high school. peer pressure, a bit shallow, you know. teenager stuff. then in college you start growing up a bit. and meeting a large group of different kinds of people help, because you get to see/understand different perspectives, you know? up until now, i consider college as the happiest time of my life! and i’ve had and developed life-long friends from it. :)

hey, best of luck in college. academics is important of course, getting good grades. but social activities are important too! i’m not thinking about partying and stuff (although that’s fun). i meant joining organizations and events. :) when i look back at my university life, it’s what i remember most fondly. :)

My greatest change had to be my level of intelligence. Prior to college life, I relied on common sense on many days. My writing skills vastly improved after I began reading books and listening to my instructors spend a good hour on lecturing about subjects that are not always pertinent to the ordinary routines of people. Of course, I can only give college a certain amount of credit for my knowledge. There are other changes the college can bestow on people I suppose. Suffice to say that college typically becomes a positive influence for many people that decide to attend.
