hehehehehe :)

I just went to the store yesterday to stock up on supplies. I usually purchase Quilted Northern TP. So, I purchased the biggest case of TP I could….(I have three bathrooms, and three children)….and brought it home to stock the cabinets in our bathrooms. Of course, having worked in restaurants as a college student, I have the concept of ‘rotating’ ingrained in me. So, I pulled out all the old TP to put the new in the cabinet.

I thought the TP “felt” funny….but I didn’t notice any changes until I put the old stuff back in next to the new stuff. When I did this, I noticed that the new TP has about a 1/4 of an inch shaved off of it….it’s SHORTER!

Now, when they came out with double rolls of TP, at first the double rolls were as cheap as the regular rolls…great buy! But then, they creeped up to DOUBLE the price…kinda makes sense, right? Ok, well, soon after that, the double rolls were no longer “DOUBLE,” they were more like 1 and 1/2.

Now, in this economy, where everyone (I guess that ‘everyone’ includes companies with big pockets) is scraping for change, the manufacturers of TP have decided to save themselves a few million a year by shaving each roll by 1/4 of an inch.

Just a rant, because I’m bored :)
