bout to lose home and we don’t know what to do…

me and my boyfriend are about to have to leave because i was only able to pay 300 toward a 675 rent, my car insurance is backed up too and i’ll owe a car payment this month, i’m bringing in 275 a wk in unemployment, my bf was not qualified for it. he’s looking for a job, and of course so am i. but i don’t see how we can make the bills this month and have food and keep the lights and water on. i feel like we have no where to go and all we do is just cry together since the end of july. we ran a store that closed without notice and i’m wondering if there’s any resources or anything that could help us through this…it’s the second time i’ve been laid off in the last six months, my last employer couldn’t afford to keep paying me…

In the least you can work at Mc Donalds or a walmart. Time are absolutely tough and I am sure you don’t want to be homeless. Have you asked the land lord for help? Also, A lot of times the utility companies will work with you in hard times. Call you finance company about the car and if you are not to far behind they can skip a payment and add it tothe end of the loan. This just makes your loan 1 month longer. You can also ask the state or county for section 8 housing, subsidized rent, this might not be avaialable. You may have to move if your landlord wont accept it. atleast you wont be homeless.

Rent a cheaper apartment, stop going shopping and save your money for food and bills, sell some useless stuff you have.

There are plenty of $100/month apartments out there in the world. A bit ghetto, yes, but judging from your circumstance you don’t have much of a choice.

You don’t mention at all where you are located, which makes the biggest difference. Resources for things like housing help vary by location.

O.o I’ve lived areas where the rent was pretty cheap, but I’ve never seen it that low unless it was illegal or the renter had state assistance.

well i see big banners that says $100/month in apartment complexes while I drive all the time. It COULD be possible that it’s for the first three months or so and then it’s $400+ afterwards.
