I’m a freelance illustrator and caricature artist for private events.
My car broke down and my rent is due tomorrow. Even if I wanted to go to the flea market to sell caricatures I still need a car. I have tons of freelance work lined up (thank god), but stress messes with my creativity. I can make money in a corner doing caricatures for tips like a street performer, but is so depreciating. I guess I got to do it. I will see street performers in a different light when I see one and I will tip them! Why the heck do I have to be so Right-brained… Yes, I’m talented, but that is a handicap sometimes. Argh! **** art. Starving artist I am. My GF hasn’t had a job and she is a diva. I look really good next to her cuz shes hot but she thinks she deserves everything and she complains about money all the time. She has a job interview next week… I am praying she gets the job and I can stay home and have nice quite time and get some freelance projects done. As I type my car sits 4 miles away in a YMCA parking lot where my car broke down and I ran home so I can save 25 dollars in “off-hours” for the tow truck because it was 11pm. I will call them tomorrow morning and get it towed to a shop for ONLY 65 dollars. Seriously, if you lived with a person who can make money with only paper and a marker and charges 100 an hour for a caricature gig, will you help them get jobs on Craigslist and other places? Well my GF doesn’t she used all her internet time on myspace! to her credit she is a mom to out beautiful son. BUT, we both put the same amount of time in him and housework (I just did the dishes and I do my own laundry!, I’m not a macho man who wants his woman to attend to him). Well this is it. Thank you for reading, wish me luck please!
