Hi guys!

So my Starbucks interview is tomorrow. For those of you who worked or currently working at Starbucks, any tips?

And please help me answer the following questions:
1. Why do you like coffee?
2. What do you know about Starbucks?
3. What do you want to work here?

And what should I wear?

Goshhh…I am so nervous right now. I cannot even sleep!!! and my interview is tomorrow morning at 8!!!

Cool, I love Starbucks… In fact, I tip in flowers at Starbucks, I keep the location that I frequent stocked in flowers when I am in the city. When I lived there they had flowers on a weekly basis.

As for your interview…

Gone are the days when a suit was the proper ettiquette for an interview, but please dress neatly and make sure you have washed and trimmed. Be polite and be yourself (Hopefully those two go together) as you will need to be polite every day at work when you are in the service industry.

reasons to work at Starbucks, Love the real coffee, love the people, love dealing with people. The atmosphere is great and the coffee is better. Where in the world is this Starbucks if you don’t mind ie. City, country?

sorry but…surely you can answer those questions for yourself if youre going for a job at the place? if you give them fake or someone elses answers, a prospective employer will see right through that. and if you cant be bothered to work out the answers for yourself or do some research, then its probably not the job for you

Blue is a great communication color to wear :) or red is really good for confidence
You must be pretty excited about your interview, I know I go a bit funny when I’m particularly interested in a certain job and just want to get everything right :)
Good luck!

If you’re a girl:
1. You like the way it smells, but you don’t care for the taste much

If you’re a guy:
1. It wakes you up and makes you feel ready to be productive!

Both genders:
2. Starbucks doesn’t just sell coffee, they sell great coffee
3. People surrounded by coffee always seem happier

*Note: All of the above are BS answers, only use in a worst case scenario

Just be yourself, be polite and be friendly…

Always sit with an “open body”, do not fold your arms as that incurs an negative position like you are trying to hide something, same as crossed legs. Do not twiddle your thumbs or play with your hair or fidget as that implies that you are bored or nervous. Try to be calm and at ease, confidence is good right about now. Do NOT drink coffee or other stimulants as this might increase such behaviour. Don’t lie to them, tell them how you feel about the job if you like it. Do not say negative things about the job or people in general. Tell them why you believe that you will be a strong addition to their team.

Brush your teeth, wash your face/hair wear deodorant/perfume but nothing strong and by all means, don’t wear too much. Most public service establishments have a “You smell so good its making me sick” policy.
