Never thought of doing this and I was actually looking for something else and happened to read some posts on becoming homeless and now needing help.
I have been homeless since October 2008 I was pregnant at the time, my employer termininated me one month later because I was still friends with the lady he fired right before me. He did warn me but I had already been through so much and needed a friend. Well he lied at my unemployment appeal hearing after I was given unemploymet and the judge disregared all of my evidence to show he was lying. They apparently side with attorneys even if the attorney has been disaplined by the state bar. Well I lost my baby and I am now homeless and unemployed 11 months. Does anyone know of a free online voicemail service so that I could look for a job and give a phone number? I could no longer afford to keep my phone on. For some of you looking for advice I had stayed at a shelter a few nights and was robbed so now I sleep in my car full time. For food yes there is the Church and other out reach programs but as a suggestion the grocery store sometimes throws out food that is still ediable. Bathing gets tricky there is always the gas station or if it is warm enough get up early and use someones hose in their front yard. I have read to ask family for help well for some of us there is no family. Just an estranged husband that wont help and he makes to much money for me to quailfy for any help. Does anyone have any suggestions. please dont bother me with a suicide help line it would be better than the slow process of starving. All I am getting at is for those of us like me homeless without a pot to piss in just try to survive I cant tell you things will get better like I have read in some of the posts, things for me actually keep getting worse.
