Is this totally ridiculous?

After one of the horses I was extremely close to died, I did some soul searching and realized all the horses that I had ever loved out there were dead or gone. One of the horses that is gone I’m trying to find. I have no idea why, I just feel like she’s out there and that I really need to find out if she’s alive. My parents and boyfriend both think I’m being ridiculous, trying to track down a horse that could be anywhere. I haven’t seen her in over six years. She’s not very old though, she’s only twelve now. Am I totally out of my mind trying to find her? Or am I just trying to find some closure in this? Better yet, is this actually something that can be done with time?

Go for it! It can’t hurt, can it?..whether you find him/her the love will still always be there & ultimately that is what matters.

no, when a person rears an animal they form a bond with it, sometimes that bond cannot be broken, you may be looking for closure, it may fade in time, however if you are looking for closure, well them I am sorry to say this but time will not get rid of it, for it is not your ego what wants it, it is your super-ego (hope that doesn’t come out wrong)

I think what you want to do is understandable. Many of the other horses you cared about are dead, so you want to know that at least one is still alive and doing well. There is the chance that you may find out that it is not alive or doing well. If you are willing to accept this possibility, then I don’t think there is anything wrong with it. It’s your time and energy, right? As far as tracking the horse down, you would probably have to start with the last person you that you know who owned it. Are records kept for horses like they are for purebred dogs? If so, then your job might not be too hard. Good luck!
