Getting worse and worse?

I’m 17, and generally a healthy girl, but lately my physical condition suddenly seems to have taken a huge negative dip. I go to taekwondo classes around 3 times a week, and after a small break (I didn’t attend for like 2 weeks) I found it really difficult to keep up. The first few times I thought, “Oh, I must just be tired” or something like that but it’s not getting better at all. In fact, I feel it’s getting worse and worse. Now, it’s gotten to the point where I have to lie down during the lessons because I feel extremely dizzy and if I push myself, I start going blind (gets better after rest, but my eyesight literally disappears after I have difficulty focusing).

I had a recent check-up with my family doctor, but other than a small indoor allergy there was nothing else worth noting. What’s going on..?

ADDED: I eat well, three square meals a day with small snacks in between, and I believe that at 5′6 weighing 140 lbs I think I should be alright..?

Maybe you’re over exerting yourself trying to catch up on the lessons you missed adn such and that is why you’re losing your vision. Talk to your instructor and tell him to help you catch up with you’re missed that way you won’t be trying to hard and won’t exert yourself too much.

Hmm, but the thing is I’ve decreased the amount of lessons from 3 times a week to just once a week and it’s still getting worse.

You might be suffering an iron deficiency. Do you have a good diet and exercise regiment going on?

I was pretty sure I had a good diet and exercise, but I’m not sure about iron deficiency. If I have it, iron deficiency, is there something I can do at home to make it better?

Yeah, buy iron vitamins or eat more food rich in iron.

You should go back to your doctor and tell him specifically about the symptoms you are having. I would think he would schedule a blood test.

Any diabetes in your family? I agree, you need to go back to the doc.

Go back to a Doctor .I would get a second opinion from another Doctor.Your Symptoms sound like Sugar Diabetes. .I bet, when you do exercise, dizziness and blackness of your Eyes is definitely lack of Sugar. Drink a Coke while exercising and you feel the difference…

Thank you for all your help. It’s been quite a while, but I’m now feeling much better and am in better shape. I think it was a light case of anemia, I ate more food rich in iron and took more rest so unless time was the biggest factor, I think that was what helped.

No, it wasn’t diabetes. I have no history of diabetes, and never had any problems with sugar consumption.
