I’m 13 and last month I was diagnosed with Bronchospasms, which means asthma when I exercise.
I got a prescription for an inhaler, but my mom thinks chiropractors are better than MDs and MDs are a last resort. So the asthma is getting worse and I get really dizzy when I stand up now. Like, last night, I got up to let the dog out and fell on the kitchen floor. This could get dangerous, like if I have a dizzy spell going up or down the stairs (which I do often cuz I have a basement bedroom). Is this worth the turmoil in our house that it’d cause to try to convince my mom to let me go to an MD?
P.S. I’m also kinda worried about the H1N1 flu. They say people with asthma between like 5 and 18 are one of the most susceptible groups, right? I heard that CVS pharmacy is giving away free flu shots this year. Do you think I should go and try to get one by myself? Is that even legal?
