Why did you cut yourself? You need to figure out why you gave up and gave in to your weakness.

And, the people you hurt aren’t on Help.com, you need to apologize to those closest to you, because I’m sure that you promised them that you wouldn’t cut yourself again, it’s not us whom you’ve hurt, it’s them.

So my advice to you is to no longer brood over it, what’s done is done, so all you need to do is simply move on, and try not to give in again… Oh yeah, and to apologize to those closest to you for this.

Take a deep breath, forgive yourself, and try to quit again.

But that’s the point, don’t wallow in your depression, just move on, and keep moving, atone for your mistake, and try to be a better person

People slip up when they are recovering. It’s ok. It happens. Don’t be mad at your self for a little slip up. Be proud of yourself for getting through ten weeks with no cutting. That is AMAZING!

I agree with everybody above. Call the number, get some help. It can’t hurt, right? Good luck. Try to beat ten weeks this time. Maybe 11 weeks? Keep up the good work!

If this were a test, and you spent (let’s just say) 30 minutes cutting, then think of it this way:
60 minutes/hr X 24 hrs/day = 1440 minutes /day

1440 mins X 7 days = 10080 minutes in a week

10080 minutes X 10 weeks = 100800

Sooooo 30 minutes out of 100800 is a very SMALLLLLL percentage of cutting time.
You win! You did VERY well. Try to beat it next time. That’s pretty much all that I can say. Good Luck!

P.S. I hope that thinking of it this way made you smile. Good Luck!

:D I can’t wait to hear you come back and say “it’s been 12 weeks since I cut last” That will make you feel SOOOO good! Keep typing. Maybe it would help if you wrote some of the reasons why you stressed. I’m guessing that dealing with some of them might help you some. Anyway, (((gentle recovery hugs to you)))
