The best way to go about finding a new job with a job that I haven’t even started working in yet.

What is the best course of action?

I didn’t get much of any answer from my last post here. Time is a’ticking.

Basically I need to make this short.

I just got a job. Mr. Boss wasn’t very upfront during the hiring process. I made it clear that I can’t work graveyard (or past 11:00) before and after the hiring process. We not only went over it during the application process, but it was on the application as well as the specified work schedule for this month. This doesn’t even go into the agreement of pay (he nows says a grace period after I was hired for all employees). The big issue isn’t the pay but my availability. When I told him I can’t work and referenced to my application he said, “you don’t have school.” This shouldn’t be question. I’m available to the hours that I put. I know flexibility is needed but I don’t feel out of line when I told him in the interview that I can’t work midnights–which he agreed too.

I start working Thursday. I already received both my training book and shirts. My question is what is the best way quit as I just started working. 1) Should I not bother saying anything to risk getting fired and see what opportunities present itself even though I just barely started working? 2) Should I mention this to him in a professional way and then see where it takes me? If it doesn’t seem to work, keep my mouth shut until I find a job or risk just being terminated. 3) Quit now since I haven’t worked that long and find a manager who is honest and upfront.

If your option is to mention it to him and take a stand should I do it before or after 12:30? And why?

Thanks a lot for those who taken the time to answer.
