I screwed up in university, 1.5yrs ago, but I haven’t

told anyone, even my own friends or parents; switch lead to mistake after mistake, because the lie had to get bigger and bigger. and I’ve been suppressing my feels for that long, but now I can’t suppress them any longer because I have to tell my parents i’m switching schools, and now I’m always sad, and disappointed in myself for wasting all that time, instead of getting help.

now i;m also scared i might get so sad i might get depressed.

Don’t worry dude, a lot of people go through exactly what you are going through right now. You should just be completely honest with everybody about what happened, and then you will be able to start over at a new university. It will probably be hard to have to do this, but your life will get better once you do it. So don’t lose hope, whatever you do :)

Your parents love you. Just tell the truth, and work harder at it next time. You’ll be fine.

You can’t live the life of your parents, or friends of coworkers. You only have one life to live, and that’s yours.

Write out your feelings in a journal. This is practice. When you feel comfortable articulating what you need to say, say it. Set aside a time for your loved ones to talk to them.
