OMG I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN!!!!! my very best friend in the whole world i ended up having a crush on. all my friends told me we would get married eventually haha but we would always be like no way dude!! but i am totally and completely in love with him. he is my best friend in the world and i cant live without him. but i realized i do love him but not romatically…but i still love him and cant live without him. i would tell him how you feel though. ill post the message i sent to him…

i kinda wish you didnt delete it because i dont really completely remember all what i had said. im pretty sure that i mentioned that i may have liked you. Well if you do recall, that was the week that i found out that i was moving and i was so scared that i would never see you again. You’re my super bestest friend on the planet and you can always make me laugh! I pretty much was trying to cram in 3 more years of “emotions” into a 3 month time period which made me think that i liked you. Well after about 2 weeks or so i realized that yes, i do love you, but like a brother/best friend. Not like romantically or anything. And yes, this is very awkward to type right now… anyways, i know that i would be totally and completely lost without you because you’re always there to get me through when im depressed, but as a best friend :) so yeah there we go.. thats about it…. ilylabb! :) lol (i love you like a big brother exclamation point smiley face laugh out loud!)

I can relate to this. Im a guy and my best friend and me both have feelings for each other. Recently we tried taking our relationship to the next level. But for some reason, out of no where, she changed her mind. And now she doesn’t think the whole boy friend/girl friend thing is gonna work out. I don’t know why. Maybe she never liked me at all. Or maybe she thinks we’re better off as friends. Whatever her reasons, i’m hurting pretty bad.
I understand sometimes its best to just stay friends. But if you truly think that it might really work, I suggest you make sure these feelings you have towards him are real and not simply something that’s gonna go away. You wouldn’t wanna get his hopes up and then let him down. That could drive a dude crazy. And you’ll risk losing your best friend
