Difference between these guys?

Guy A: one who just keeps looking at tis particular girl whenever he has the chance. when someone talks to her, he observes them as well. but he hasnt made any moves to talk to her, though they share 2 classes and have some direct mutual friends.

Guy B: Who also looks at same girl quite abit. And this has been over the vacation. He also doesnt initiate conversations with her, but when she does talk to him, he’s very subdued though he’s not known to be shy. He once rushed to her side to help her with something, out of the blue. And when college term starts, they dont see each other much. he still looks at her when he sees her and when they had their last lengthy conversation, he kept staring into her eyes and hardly broke off eye contact.

What’s the dif? is one more interested than the other or? =/

There’s slightly more to the story on B, slightly more looking incidents. i’ve never expressed any interest in either, except that for B, ive spoken to him several times and we know each other, for A, i dont know him and generally ignore him.

Guy B is interested, most likely.
Guy A is either interested, or an observer. I am an observer, and I generally like to watch people in order to see their reactions to life so that I can become more social (I’ve had some social anxiety issues in the past)

Interesting, I’m an observer too. But why do you say Guy B is interested instead of guy A? just curious though

Guy A could be interested, it is true. But he has had more opportunities, from what I read, to speak to this person and has made no attempt.
After a certain amount of time guy A must make up their mind to either approach or admire from afar, and if guy A has chosen to admire from afar, a relationship with guy B may be easier.

yup true, he has had ALOT of opportunities to speak to this person (a.k.a: me) but hasnt done so. actually i’m interested in Guy B and not A, but thinking about both situations i was wondering what could be the difference when everyone behaves like that.

1. He’s subdued in conversation though not shy. He’s being cautious with you.
2. He’s made an effort to help you with things.
3. Eye contact for that long is generally a sign of romantic interest. Bonus points if his pupils expanded.
