My ex husband passes away, we have 3 children, we both have joint custody but he had physical.

Iam having a hard time getting custody of my children, because I moved a few hours away and was unable to get there to see them that much. I did not have reliable transportation or alot of money. At this time the judge has not granted my children yet, i have to go through testing and counseling first. I have no criminal back ground, no abuse, and I do not do drugs. Some of his family does not want me to have my children. Please help!!

There is nothing that his family can do. If you are of sound mind and the only living parent, in most cases and locations, you will get custody of your children. Good Luck.

Thank you! I hope you are right. His family seems to think that I’am a partier and I’m not. I have a place for my kids to live. I do think I should get a lawyer just to be safe.
