Who says we are? And if I had to give a reason, it’d be Darwinian.

It’s because by nature we assume that the goodest looking thing is always what’s best.

We are obsessed with beauty, I admit it, but its not the only think that is important to us. We are obsessed with beauty because care about what other people think, I don’t know why but we do. But this is just my opinion.

Maybe because people want to impress boys or girls or something.

This is what i think… would you want to go to work or school with bed hair, in your pajamas with bags under your eyes? :P

Yah, it’s so unfair-and I really dont like using that phrase. It makes me sad, because I’m affected by it too, yet I know I’m not beautiful. It shouldnt be that way.

The question contains a generalization and as of now, I reject the validity of it until it becomes rephrased to suit those who feel different about beauty.

Researchers have found that good looking students get higher grades from their teachers than students with an ordinary appearance.

Furthermore, attractive patients receive more personalized care from their doctors.

Studies have even shown that handsome criminals receive lighter sentences than less attractive convicts.

How much money a person earns may also be influenced by physical beauty. One study found that people low in physical attractiveness earn 5 to 10 percent less than ordinary looking people, who in turn earn 3 to 8 percent less than those who are considered good looking

Not every culture is that way, american is that way because the monent you turn on your TV the first Add you see is something tell you “You need this to look beautiful.” the truth is that its not real beauty. No one really looks that good.. Everything u see in media has been put through a computer.. The models you see have been photoshopped..

I know it’s stupid. I hate it it’s that stupid. I dont think people do it consciously. It is… human nature

I wish I could see everyone’s true nature and not be so affected by physical beauty. I really do.

Do you think blind people are able to judge people better than other people can?

Sometimes, when one sense leaves the other senses get stronger and it’s not always the five senses but other ones as well.

More like strong sense of awareness and common sense, street smarts and telling if someone is lying or not.

Neutra you seem to know quite a bit about all this. Your responses ring true. Where does your insight come from? I only ask so that I can obtain some.

Just simply noticing things that no one else does. Looking past what everyone else sees.

It’s not something that can be taught it has to be learned by one’s own experience. It’s also something that can’t be learned overnight, it takes along time. You have to search your own path, pick what you want and develop yourself to achieve what you seek.
