Wrongfully convicted people are murdered by the state. What else matters?

Surprisingly, it costs more to execute someone than it does to imprison someone for life, at least in the United States. This is because of the long appeals process that accompanies any death sentence.

Also, there is very little evidence that the death penalty actually acts as a determent on crime. (You will have to look up the actual statistics for both of these points.)

its immoral to take a persons life but the world is overpopuplated and economy is going dry so we need a few people to disappear, i have nothing against the death penalty because it removes one terrible in the world and more jobs to find.

No, it doesn’t. As I said, the appeals process makes executing someone more expensive than imprisoning that person for life. The appeals process often takes ten, and sometimes even twenty years, and then the person is executed. So, the government pays for imprisoning the person for that long, plus all the legal fees. Executing someone is very, very expensive.

Particularly because in this modern age, supporters of the death penalty have to go out of their way to still appear to be humane.

even if it is expensive, for some people i think that it is worth it because they did something so evil that we cant let them be allowed to live. and it wouldnt be expensive if they didnt let them have all those appeals and use these expensive methods(rocks are free).

i think the death penalty is very necessary and we need to get rid of the criminals in the overpopulated prisons, who do not deserve to live.

What you ignore is that people commit crimes because their basic human needs aren’t being met. What you also ignore is that innocent people are executed because they are too poor to have good representation and there is a lot of pressure on cops to deliver
