That’s an aberration that they believe in. I have seen on the news where they let their children die before they let them have a blood transfusion from a stranger.
That’s sad!
they knock on doors and generally believe you are beneath them until they have talked you in to a coma………. best if you don’t answer the door as they may really be burglars disguised as witness’ if you keep that in mind then you will not feel guilty for hiding upstairs when they ring your doorbell
A jw where I work said she wouldnt have someone elses blood because its dirty, I must say i was shocked to hear that as she was a nurse.
I remember one time they came to my door and they wanted me to be a witness. I told them I hadn’t seen the accident so I couldn’t be a witness for anybody!
Does anyone know why they do not have blood
They have blood. They just don’t want anybody else’s blood running through their veins, as in a tranfusion of blood.
Blood
Main article: Jehovah’s Witnesses and blood transfusions
Jehovah’s Witnesses officially reject transfusions of whole allogeneic blood and some of its fractionated components.
Jehovah’s Witnesses are directed to refuse blood transfusions.[204] In 1961, accepting a blood transfusion became grounds for expulsion and shunning from the religion.[205] They do not accept the threat of death as sufficient to dissuade them from rejecting blood transfusions for themselves or their children.[206] Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that the Bible prohibits blood transfusions based on their interpretation of Acts 15:28-29.
Jehovah’s Witnesses are not permitted to accept red cells, white cells, platelets or plasma, though they may accept certain fractions made from these components at their own discretion.[207][208] The Watch Tower Society provides members with Power of Attorney documents to indicate which optional fractions they accept, with preformatted wording prohibiting major components.[209][210] If a fraction “makes up a significant portion of that component” or “carries out the key function of a primary component”, it may be objectionable to some but is permissible.[211]
Thanks little nick. Does anyone have a bible. Does anyone know what Acts 15:28-29 says?
jaysus, we aint gonna do all the work for you, have you never heard of google?
jehovahs are annoying and damned persistant. they like to knock repeatedly on your door at 8am on a sunday morning then when you storm out to beat the crap out of them youre greeted by a sweet looking little old lady who you couldnt possibly be rude to so you listen for 3 hours to them harp on about bullcrap and take all their pamphlets and promise to read them.
they also lure you in with hot guys.
Read the bible, if it is too difficult to understand begin a study group with the amazing highly educational Jehovah Witnesses!! I did it. They are not a cult, just wonderful humans who can start you off with the correct information.
