body help: I’m a bit confused on my AP Bio. - Help.com

I’m a bit confused on my AP Bio.

this is the question, is my answer correct?
The human body is about 70% water by mass. what might happen to body temperature when a person is dehydrated and his body’s water content decreases?

I believe that the temperature of the body would go up since water isn’t regulating it.

is that right? is there any way to explain it better?

Dehydration symptoms generally become noticeable after 2% of one’s normal water volume has been lost. Initially, one experiences thirst and discomfort, possibly along with loss of appetite and dry skin. This can be followed by constipation. Athletes may suffer a loss of performance of up to 30%,and experience flushing, low endurance, rapid heart rates, ***elevated body temperatures***, and rapid onset of fatigue.

***it says elavated so I assume that what you think is correct.
