depression help: My grandmother is an alcoholic. - Help.com

My grandmother is an alcoholic.

Yesterday she sent me an email and to me it seemed as if she had been drinking, although i’ve known about this for a few years. I asked my mom to talk to her, but when confronted she got very defensive (thinks i hate her, everyone’s after her, etc…). She’s old, so i’m worried she won’t be able to shake the habbit or change before things get worse. What would you suggest besides an intervention/institution?
