i’m thinking about getting my own domain name!

what registar do you think i should go for ..?
i’ve heard some aweful news about godaddy and namecheap! can someone please recommend a company that i can trust?
i want to get a domain, and not a full hosting package!! just a domain.

I use network solutions, they aren’t the cheapest, but I’ve never had a problem with them
