Thanks babacup :) We need more stuff like this shown in high schools & colleges!!
Thank you, I really enjoyed that.
Boy’s can be stupid…hard to take back stupid. I bet their moms would have slapped them and take their cars away for a week:)
Thanks Raver, My husband is friends with Clay and Doug. He made that video to help get people thinking about the dangers of driving fast.

What is scary, is I am sure there has many a close calls that the parents aren’t even aware of. I just pray that my boys are learning this from a young age and will not take those risk.
I believe it helps - when I was in 6th form (the 2years after high school but before uni if you choose to stay in education to do a-levels)
Police came in with a video and showed crashes… and the state of the bodies that were in them. We were all in tears, even the boys. I believe since I have left there has only been one death because of being a boy racer - which is a shame I know but its nice to know the numbers are few.
Am thinking “come on, load the vid, faster, please load, youtube load, now, please? load faster! go faster!”
Anyway, didn’t load for me, but I thnk I get the idea - I’ll try to check it again later; am just learning to drive this year so yeah, it’s important to drive safely.
Congratulations to your husband for making a powerful statement that is sure to get the point across to many young drivers. You may or may not know that we lost our precious seventeen-year-old daughter in an auto accident that was the result of a stupid driving mistake. She rolled the truck she was driving off the freeway and even though she had been taught to wear a seatbelt, was somehow not wearing one that evening. We will never completely get over the loss and more than anything in the world, wish that other young drivers will realize how fragile and precious their lives are.

I’ve been passing you link on. The pictures really send it home. This should be standard curriculum in every class room. Plus the crotch rockets here are taking all kinds of beautiful lives:(
I’m sorry to hear of your lost as well C-eek:(
God Bless you all.

Thank you for passing it on. Every little bit helps. You never know when it has saved someones life.
Thank you all for your condolences. That dreadful day occurred many years ago. I only mentioned it to help young people understand the lasting impact a moment of recklessness can have in the lives of the people they love the most.

That was good stuff and very informative to know. Thanks, babacup.
Baba, thanks for posting this. It reminds me that I need to slow down as well. It’s so easy to get in a hurry in life in general, get stressed, and try to make up time by speeding. Adults should see this video as well as teens. Kudos to your husband for putting so much effort into it.
That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing! Sorry it took me so long to view. :(
I am glad you all got to see it. Remind all those young driver that there is a place for driving fast, it is at the race track, not on the streets.
And like you said Sans, us adults speed too, just for other reasons. We are not doing it for a thrill, we are just trying to get places faster. I am guilty of that. All that traveling I did between Indiana and Tennessee with the kids in the van, I was speeding. I never went where I did not feel safe, but I am sure all those people who have accidents, didn’t feel they were being unsafe either.
