The Iraq war has killed over 1 million people.
That should answer that question.

I’d say war is more about policy than exploitation.

i think whoever thinks this deserves any kind of recognition is overly prideful of themselves for thinking up a cliched and uneducated attack on the war.

“War is a profiteering tool.
Manufacture, Logistics (Transport Storage) and war increases
a countries Economic power.
Germans initially prospered when they stole from the Jews.
We are imposing sanctions that basically ensure Iraq
suffers and we prosper.
War = Stealing of Life, money, resource and opportunity.

If we allow war mongerers to lead us into wars
that are based purely on profiteering then we can
never win in our fight for peace.
Our global leaders seem to accept war as natural.
I do not.
I hope love over comes I truly do.
If we are able to impose a new education and introduce
free press then maybe
- We do not have free press now…
The media influences our oppinions with government lead propaganda. Where are the WMD in Iraq? By influencing the general population by repeating the same messages - ie re-educating people on a global scale we may come to live in peace with our neighbors where ever they are. We all live on this planet any more wars could result in an even bigger whole in the environment = a less livable earths surface - resulting in potential human decline. It really seems that serious to me. We need to start our economic planning again. What we have in place only works to benefit a minute few - the rich.”

Surely any one who thinks that the war is over has never understood the influence that greed and power will play on a man once they are combined.

The war has its merits, though they are few and far between.
It angered an entire race, incited hatred, fear and violence of westerners, and killed millions. And we need not mention Abu Gharib and Guantanamo Bay.
On the other hand, it de-throned a Dictator who killed millions, instilled a form of democracy, released prisoners that -should- be free. And Saddam had expressed desire to develop Non-conventional weaponry (Nuclear/Biological/Chemical

Before anyone takes a swipe at me though, My Heart Beats to the Left. I am no right-wing Republican. Nor am I of Middle Eastern ancestry.

The contents of your post don’t make sense, but I think what you are saying is that the war in Iraq is a good thing? It was, and is a disaster, we never should have gone. Our being there did far more damage to the country than Sadam did himself.

Heres all i have to say:

1. anyone who thinks its a bad thing that Saddam Hussein isnt in power anymore can shoot themselves, because theyre both wrong and legally retarded.

2. anyone who thinks theres any oil in the mountainous terrain of afghanistan can refer to the above statement.

Do you really believe that getting rid of Saddam was worth one million
lives??
Why not send in a CIA operative and assasinate the guy.
You will find the true is easy to spell “OIL”

A quick review of the data suggests to me that the figure might be closer to 100,000 or 150,000.

spiratec, i do hope you realize “one million” is more near a world war type of statistic, where most every nation on the goddamn planet is participating. Also, death tolls also include every recorded casualty ON BOTH SIDES.
