Just need some opinions, please!

I went on a “date” last night. I’m not exactly sure that it was a date though. I used to work with this guy about 4 years ago and he recently moved back to the area. I heard he was around and sent him an email and he called me and said we should go out for a drink to catch up. So he came to my house and picked me up and that was that. I seriously have had a crush on this guy since I was 16 and I’m now 23. I just want to know how I can tell if he is interested in me or not without directly asking him. I guess the only thing I really can do is wait, and see if he calls again and see where it goes from there, but I’m wondering if there might be any clues I could pick up on. Any thoughts are welcome…thanks!

Pick up the phone, Call him, and make a second date.
Really make it a date. If he says yes to it then he likes you. If not then he just wants to be friends. Don’t want for him to call because he could be waiting for you to call. So make the first move!

Just don’t do the waiting thing. You’ll be waiting for another x amount of years before he calls again!

I don’t know….I’d rather he call me. He seems to be sort of old fashioned, in the sense that he wanted to come pick me up and drive rather than us meet. I’ll give it some more thought though….I just really would prefer if I didn’t have to put myself out there so much. I had my heart broken about a year ago and have learned that sometimes it’s not worth it to put yourself out there and it pays off to be a little nonchalant and let them pursue you…because then there’s no question of whether they like you or not. But I will give it some thought. If I haven’t heard from him in a week, maybe then I’ll call him!
He didn’t kiss me good night. I gave him a quick hug in the car and he might have slightly kissed my cheek but I’m not sure because I kind of pulled away fast, haha.
Anyway another piece of information that might add something to the story is that he’s 6 years older than me. I feel like that sort of gives him more responsibility in taking action..

Life is about taking chances. If you don’t take the chance then you will miss out. Forget about old fashion. Forget about the fear of putting yourself out there. We’ve all been heart broken before and the best way to get past that is to get out there again and take the chance. If you don’t then you may miss out on something big and all the time you’ll be “What If…” So find out now and just do it without thinking. Pick up that phone and sort out another night out. Make it a date.

~Sounds like a date to me based solely on wanting to pick you up.
~I agree that you should wait a few days to call. Just call and say “hi ____, I had a wonderful time going to the ______ with you, we should do it again sometime. Are you busy next weekend?” It doesn’t have to be the big scary deal that people make it out to be.
~Don’t be so quick with the hug. Slow down and enjoy it. He might actually get the chance to reciprocate.
~6 yrs is nothing, seriously. There is over a decade between h and I. I only feel the difference once in a blue moon. (That post with 17 yrs difference, um, different story, in my opinion, but then again, who am I to judge?! People said the same thing about us and we’ve been together for many yrs.)
~Don’t wait for him to do things, both before and after you get together. You can go after what you want too. Guys must get annoyed at always having to do the pursuing. If I were a guy, that would bug me. I’d want to feel like somebody wanted me enough to pursuit me once in a while too.
~Anyway, go for it. You don’t really want to lose this chance, right? While you debate it, he might start visiting other old friends. Somebody else might find him equally as charming, and be forward about it. Don’t lose the chance.
