How to attach/place a rod on a bike pedal.?

Hello guys! I need an idea on how to attach a rod on a bike pedal. It has to be very tied because it will be exposure to a lot of vibration. Here is a pic example of what I’m looking for. Hope it helps :-)

I suggest using zip ties to fasten the rod down to the bike pedal.
