I need help..

im Living in an angrry agressive home.. and have nobody to turn to.. everytime i try to talk to my parents or ask them to get me help from a proffesional they called me stupid n say im over reacting.. Its a life ive had to lead for the last 5 years. contently being put down by my adult brother there he has also been physically violent towards me.. i just need a proffesional to give me advise. my boyfriend has just moved to the other end of the country to go to university and i feel trapped with nowhere to turn. i’d like professional help but i don’t no where to find it

I wish I could help, I really do :( So let me get this straight, your adult brother is abusive towards you, yet your parents refuse to do anything? Could it be that they are scared of him as well?

Also, it’s your brother/parents who need professional help the most! They shouldn’t be acting like that towards you.

Sometimes violence and verbal abuse from siblings is brushed aside because well, you’re siblings and people somehow find that easier to accept. But it’s NOT.

Do you have a good friend who would be willing to give you a place to stay so that you don’t have to live in such a destructive environment?

I know they mostly talk about abusive partners, but what you’re going through is still in the same catagory (domestic abuse.)
