Am I wrong for being anoyed?

My husband has an at home (do anywhere) loan officer job-he facilatates loans between businesses and lenders cold call- has covered lots of terratory but no loans through him yet- just sprang on me he had to -fly clear across the country for 3 days for job interview/orentation. for same company-simalar position-anyway he said they( the company) were paying for him to go interview- and he had to go in person. I found out through company’s web-site info people-that company pays for no one’s travel/loging to interview, because out-of-state interviewies have the option of phone interview, don’t have to travel. so he fibbed about that-both about who payed, and saying he had to go in person. I don’t plan to say anything, but am a little anoyed-I do wonder why he lied though?

You caught your husband in a huge lie, not a fib. If I were in your shoes, (and, I have been) I would make an appointment with a marriage counselor ASAP.
