school help: I’ve written a letter, asking a firm for work experience, does it sound okay? - Help.com

I’ve written a letter, asking a firm for work experience, does it sound okay?

My name is [insert name] and I attend [insert school]. I am writing to you to request a place at [insert firm name] for work experience which will be over the course of two weeks, from Monday 21st of June to Friday 2nd of July 2010.
I have a particular interest in optometry and believe that doing work experience at [insert firm name] will help me decide whether I wish to do optometry in the future. I am a hardworking, reliable and punctual person and wish to experience everything there is to offer in these two weeks.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Apart from all the “insert” stuff, is it okay?
Thank you. :D

that phrase should never be used in a work experience letter, you are supposed to tell them that this is what you are planning on doing …
