Muse is probably one of my all time favorite groups. There’s no other groups out there like them. If you like Muse you might like Modest Mouse and Death Cab for Cutie. They’re all pretty unique.

haha well that sucks that it was canceled but it’s cool you’re going to still see them. I think I remember some people I know going to go see them at MSG opening for U2… weird combination.. I’d just go for Muse haha.

Yeah, I’m not a big U2 fan, never really have been and I don’t really know why. Just somethin about the music doesn’t appeal to me. Haha yeah I have pretty much the entirety of all their albums. A lot of my friends like Muse, not like hardcore fanbase but just enjoy the music. I have a pretty wide selection of music, I could suggest some stuff if you told me what you like if you want.

haha well with that knowledge you’d probably like Pink Floyd, I love Pink Floyd.. something about it. MGMT and Manchester Orchestra are both pretty good I saw them both at lollapalooza last year. Couple of my personal favorite bands are Alkaline Trio and Cartel you should check em out and see if you like em if you haven’t heard of them. The Kooks would probably fit your tastes too they have a few good hits I enjoy. Rock Kills Kid is pretty interesting, I like listening to them every now and then. The Shins are great too, real easy going music to chill out to. Haha and just because :) I think you should try out Thieves and Villains, they’re my friend’s brother’s band and they just got signed to Victory Records about a year ago. Oh, definitely listen to Vampire Weekend if you haven’t already I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. I have more but I think you should be pretty well set with those :) haha let me know what you think.

haha you have much knowledge. =] i love the shins, vampire weekend, alkaline trio, MGMT, manchester orchestra and the kooks. but ill deffinitely check out the others you listed.

by the way, i finally saw muse on friday and wowza. i actually cried when they came on stage and even though yes, i am a chick, i hardly ever get all emotional like that. it mightve just been the relief of finally seeing them, but i havent seen a better band live. so it was pretty great. i’m bree by the way. =]

Haha well most of my friends are music freaks so I just followed along with the trend since we have the same tastes. I’m glad you said you like vampire weekend and alkaline trio haha those are probably my favorite groups to party to, A-Punk especially.

That’s awesome you were able to see them, did you go by yourself? Yeah I can imagine Muse probably puts on a pretty wicked show, I’d like to see them at least once that’ll be cool. I just went to an AFI show last night bout 15 mins away from where I live. It was the first time I’ve seen them since I started listening to them and since they were here I wanted to hear how their new album was doing. It was a great show, small venue almost like no one knew it was going down. I went by myself cause I just moved to where I live right now bout 2 months back and I don’t really know anyone here with similar interests yet so I figured meh I’m just gonna go.

Never seen a better band live huh? Haha I dunno Dropkick puts on a pretty badass show, plus their music is 1000x better live. It’s nice to meet you bree haha

yeahh i love vampire weekend, the lead singer grew up not too far away from where i live. where are you living now, if i can ask? and actually i went with my dad. about the only thing we have in common is music suprisingly so he was happy to go. i saw the foo fighters live and they were great too. but ive been more than obsessed with muse since i was 13 so it’s kind of hands down that i think they’re the best band i’ve seen live. i knew they would be, their live songs are all amazing. anywayys. what else do you like? are you into the smiths? im gonna just ramble now because i have free time in school and nothing else to really do. and do you have a name? =]

That’s pretty cool that he grew up around where you’re from. The group Coheed and Cambria actually formed in the county where I’m from haha. Right now I moved to Pittsburgh, PA. It’s not as bad as people think, lots of good food and things to do if you actually know people but since I’m new in the city I don’t know many people.

Ah yeah man my friends saw the foo fighters bout two years ago I’m gonna say they said the show was awesome. I wanted to go but I can’t remember why I didn’t. Haha now I understand why you like Muse so much, it’s like the same thing for me and The Offspring. They’re my absolute favorite band and I can’t get enough of them. I saw them over the summer touring with Dropkick Murphys and it was an awesome show. There’s a wide genre of music that I like, it’s mostly punk rock or alternative but it ranges to a lot of things. Bands like The Academy Is…, Blink 182, Automatic Loveletter, Brand New, Jet, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, to Jimmy Eat World. I’ve also been known to dabble in a bit of Metallica haha. I’m a pretty big sucker for anything alternative.. Green Day is my guilty pleasure. But yeah that’s just the tip of the iceberg. I’ve never actually heard of the smiths until you mentioned em, I looked them up and they sound a lot like the kooks haha, pretty good.

Yes, I have a name haha my name’s Evan.

hello evan =]

what country are you from?? im kind of obsessed with traveling. but yeah i like alot of those too. and yeah, i read an article once where the kooks said one of their main influences were the smiths. and i wish i lived in the city. its about 4 hours away from here. my best friend, her favorite band is blink. they were supposed to come here in august but it got cancelled. she was very upset. anyway, the offsprings great. i like alot of their older stuff mostly. and i hope i get to see muse again, maybe somewhere in europe.

I’m from the US haha, yeah I know what you mean I love going anywhere and I have big plans to go throughout Europe, Egypt, and southern Asia one day. Soon it’ll happen. Yeah well living in a city isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Sure there’s a lot to do but driving sucks and it just really depends I guess. It’s exciting and all I like city life but its a constant reminder of how new I am here. Oh that’s cool I wanted to go see Blink182 and FOB at Hershey Park in August but I really didn’t want to go by myself. The also came within like 20 minutes of where I live now but again I didn’t want to go alone. My friend saw them in NJ with weezer :\ I was jealous. Yeah I love the offspring, their new album was alright but I still enjoyed the music for what it was worth. Yeah that’d be cool if you see muse again, what’s funny is my friend suggested out of nowhere we go see them because she was listening to them at random so I looked up to see if there were any shows but it looks like they’re all overseas so good luck haha.

Oooh I said county not country haha I’m born and bred in upstate NY or what technically is upstate NY even though I lived about an hour and a half from the city. In all honesty I don’t even have my passport and I’ve never been outside of the US unless Toronto counts haha. I’ve been up and down the East coast though from Boston to Miami and the farthest west I’ve been is Chicago. I actually took a road trip this summer from NY to GA and it was awesome.

Ah man that sounds so great. I wish I had enough time to just take like a month off and do just that. Maybe once I graduate.. I really want to go through Italy and Greece, ancient ruins and stuff like that amaze me. My friend and her family is from Greece and she owns an apartment in Athens outlooking the Parthenon :) she’s shown me the view and it’s really cool. One of my other friends went to Amsterdam a few years back and he came back with a bottle of Absith hahaha. I really want to visit the UK.. okay pretty much all of Europe haha.
Yeah passports are ridiculous to get it takes so long. Sometimes you’re lucky if you apply for one during the slow season but if you do it during the spring or summer it’s really slow.

Ah man that’s awesome. Be sure to take advantage of that awesome Irish food haha. The beer there is probably fantastic also. My friend went there over the summer last year and worked with his brother with some housing contractors just as a summer job and he said he just got wasted like all the time and he came back with this huge bottle of Irish whiskey which was pretty strong haha
