computer help: I cought a virus, and had to uninstall my old version of windows, - Help.com

I cought a virus, and had to uninstall my old version

of windows, cuzz nothing worked, so I ran a deleting software, i got from a friend, and installed windows vista, everything works fine exept my internet, it says iam missing my Network hard drive…
so do i have to buy a disk to make it work or is it locked out… anyone know whats up with it?
