Hey all, im a freshman in high school and i like this boy Jake.

We’re friends and everything. We have been since like 8th grade. We havnt exchanged numbers we just kinda talk during school…
anyways today we both stayed after but ffor different class but when i was outside waiting for my mom he came out and we sat together. we were talking and stuff and i asked him when his mom was picking him up and he said about half hour. so obviously i asked my mom if she could give him a ride and she said yes. so we took him home. the problem is i really really like him and i dont know if he likes me back. whenever were together i can make him laugh and we have a good time but im not the hottes person. im overweight but i have a really good personality. so im afraid to talk to him about anything. and i cant tell him he likes me back since i really only have had one bf but it was really stupid. please help me.

you can always lose weight-in the long run it’ll help to boost your self confidence. But try smiling at him in the hall-like a smile you would give a friend- and if he smiles back without looking weirded out(you know the kind of smile you do then look at th ground or make a weird face at a friend close by) then he probably thinks you’re pretty ace. its highschool, if it doesn’t work out with him there will be so many more guys

but i really like him and like were good friends we always have a good time but we only talk in school and only have one class together. i kind of want to get his number so we can text but i dont know how.

Is his body perfect? Does he date girls that look like playboy centerfolds? Maybe he doesn’t think of you as overweight. The only way find out is to tell him you like him and see how he reacts. It is not easy. The first few times it is really tough especially if you get rejected. Life is all about getting knocked down and then having the strength to get back up. Get up, brush yourself off and be a winner!
