A macro is a set of user programmed operations that can be called and repeated automatically.

a macro is a neat little function in the microsoft office suite

a macro is a little program per say in a program for example word

you could create a table that had months and years in it

so months on top x axis

years on left y axis

and if you wanted to create this several times its easier to record a macro than copy and past or create the whole things from scratch again
