i have another maths problem…

at a hair dressers, there are two solutions of salt and water (for bleaching hair). one is 3% salt and the other is 30% salt. What is the ratio of the two solutions that i should mix to make a 12% solution. pleeeeeease help!!!

you’ve got a problem

Here’s how you set it up.

I always like to pretend I’m adding it to 1L bowl.
You need 12 units of salt.
so, if x is the amount of 3% you add
.03x+.3(1-x)=.12
if you work it out x=2/3, so 2:1
