i have yet another maths problem…

i am walking along a train track at a consistent speed. every 12 minutes, a train overtakes me and every 4 minutes, i meet a train gouing the other way. what is the time difference between the time the trains leave the station?

what is the considten speed and its more of a physiccs/maths question, so start by taking out the variables

train overtakes = 12 mins

train other way = 4 mins

the obvious conclusion here is subtraction however i think you may have left out some information
