How can you tell if a guy likes you, or just sees you as a great friend?

My guy best friend is so playful with me. It’s so hard to tell if he really does or not.

This is why it’s so hard to tell, sometimes he’ll completely ignore other girls when i’m around, and other times he ignores me when other girls are around.

Me, I can tell by analyzing the situation carefully from a neutral perspective.

Be careful. People often times fail to be objective when analyzing relationships. A word or an action means something different to each individual. That is one of the reasons why so many people get offended or angry even though the person who did the action did not meant to put it into that context.

teasing generally is a good sign he likes, unless he does that to a lot of people. im pretty sarcastic to my friends if im not interested in anything beyond friendship and i keep a straight face when i do it. if its a girl i like, ill tease her a lot but i make sure were both laughing when i do it. sometimes i do that to girls who i think are interested in me but im not sure how i feel. if thats the case (as in he thinks you may like but is figuring things out for himself) then you need to make it clear you like him, but that doesnt mean out right telling him. just make it clear your there for him or that you enjoy hanging with him
