Can i use newer memory in an old ibook?

I’d like to take the 1GB memory chip out of my MacBook Pro and use it in a 2005 iBook.

actually no either way, the old G4/G5 systems use DDR400 while the macbook pros use DDR3 i think

ddr3 i thought they hadnt put those in linux or windows pc basiis yet let alone macs woah lol ah no i agree with above post they use the older style ddr400 pc3200 i think :s so its not worth pulling the ram doors off :)

well it’s either DDR3 or really high DDR2 lol, all new macs are C2D based
